Our Annual Meeting was held on June 5th. Congratulations to our newly elected Board Members, Jody Bryan, Lynn Cragholm, Rosalie Priest, and Helen Thompson. Thank you to all who helped make this a successful meeting.
We are looking forward to our fundraising Parcel Post Party in September. Please remember us if you are traveling or if you have friends and family in other cities or countries. We are soliciting packages from various locations that are souvenirs of and reflect the area from which they came. (examples: Dallas Cowboy T-shirt from Dallas, a cheese hat from Green Bay, maple syrup from Vermont, wine from Napa Valley, native handcrafts from Alaska. Please do not contribute the typical souvenirs that are made in China and sold everywhere. We are looking for items with a minimum value of $20-$30.

At the Parcel Post Party we will auction off the packages which will only have the return address of the city and country they came from. No personal names, addresses, or hint of the item inside. We can wrap the items, but please do not forget to tell us where the item came from. The idea behind this fundraiser is for attendees to bid on sealed packages, knowing only where the packages came from, how big they are, and that the item enclosed is a souvenir of and represents a certain area.
