Here are a few important things to know about the center:
- Seniors 55 and older are eligible for membership.
- Annual membership is $15.00 payable the first of the year.
- Members receive a Newsletter published monthly.
- Membership entitles you to:
- voting privileges
- attend activities and classes at the center
- ride the van
In addition, members have a special relationship to the following businesses:
- As a member, you may join the Denali Federal Credit Union
- Do you need batteries for your hearing aid? A selection are provided by Hearing Outreach at no charge to members.
The mission of Mabel T. Caverly Senior Center is to provide social, recreational and/or emotional support to elderly persons in the Anchorage area
Mabel T. Caverly Senior Center emphasizes seeking out individuals to join the membership who are elderly, frail, low income or from a minority classification. Its additional mission is to identify the needs of older persons, to plan and promote programs to meet those needs and to provide for a range of services that directly affect the well being of those who desire those services. The mission includes information and referral and outreach as a basis for needs identification.
